Senior year is what every highschool student looks forward too, and every senior is looking to make memories that will last a lifetime. The most important memory however, is the one that will forever be plastered on the walls of your house, and of course on the walls of facebook: your senior pictures. So, if they don't turn out perfectly, it can be devastating at minimum. Most who are looking to schedule their senior pictures schedule them in the summer for obvious reasons. A summer session will be warm and sunny, you can wear all of your cute summer clothes, and of course you will have a glowing summer tan. A photoshoot in summer will provide great senior pictures that you will be proud to have your Aunt Nancy share all over the internet. However, if you are a senior and school is starting soon, do NOT stress. September and october are great times to take your photos! Actually, fall sessions will be as good, if not better than a summer shoot, and here is why:
1. The Colors: Yes, summer is full of beautifully colored flowers, and vibrant sunsets on the beach. However, september and october are months filled with rich browns, reds, yellows, and organges. Obviously, the color scheme is personal preference, I am simply pointing out, that the colors of fall are equally as beautiful as the ones of summer.
2. The Weather: Summer is HOT. Depending on where you live and exactly which month of summer it is, it can be almost too hot. The heat and humidity can make hair frizzy, and a person uncomfortable and sweaty. However, when autum comes, things start to cool down. You no longer to have to have to deal with the sweat beads running down your face, but can instead enjoy the brisk air and a cozy sweater.
3. Scheduling: It can often be hard to schedule a summer session at your favorite photography studio (*cough, studio 360, cough*) between your sports, your summer job, and your personal plans. Not to mention, every other student at school is scheduling a photo shoot, making it almost impossible to find an open appoinment where you have the time to get all dolled up and take some pictures. However, in the fall, most seniors have already taken their pictures, summer activities have come to an end, and putting off an english essay to take some pictures is much easier than putting off your plans to go to 6 flags... just saying.
I do realize some of you may still have your doubts about fall pictures but I'm here to tell you, DON'T WORRY. Chances are your skin will still be sun kissed by the time your early fall pictures come around, you can still wear that super cute sun dress during the indoor session if you please, and everyone who sees your pictures will be more concerned with your beautiful smile that what season your pictures are taken in. So, no matter when you schedule your photoshoot, I assure you they will be perfect!
