Kim + Dave booked us for their Wedding Photography in June, one of our favorite things to do is spend time with the couple prior to the wedding day so we get to know each other a little better. An engagement session at our studio in downtown Pewaukee was the setting on a warm and breezy Sunday afternoon. We had met Kim and her Mom Betsy, (who I graduated high school with years ago) during our consult, but had not met Dave before today.
It took just a short time to get an idea of how these two interact and we knew this was going to be fun. Usually when you point a camera at someone the first time it takes a bit for them to relax...not with these two. We start in Studio and get some images shot - usually to break the ice, but the first set produced some great photos and we were off to a great start. Kim is a teacher and is very organized and came prepared with a variety of outfits for both. Dave pretty much rolled with the flow and we could tell these two really liked to laugh, joke around and the images really reflect that about them.
Heading outside the fun continued and the couple was up for anything we suggested. The facial expressions and spontaneity they both showed during of the shoot produced many fun and unique images. We wrapped up our time together by walking from the studio down the street, across from Pewaukee lake for a few more shots, and ended up at the Chocolate Factory for some Ice cream and conversation.
Thanks Kim & Dave for allowing us to be a small part of your big plans. The wedding day is going to be a blast!
Enjoy a few images from their session.
